AVITA ry is the Finnish audiovisual industry network. We bring together AV companies, designers, service providers, subscribers, users and students – the people who make sound, image and event technology visible and functional in everyday life.

AVITA – Audiovisual Association is an association founded in 1987, which brings together Finland’s diverse audiovisual industry. Its members are more than 100 companies, communities and professionals working in the field of AV technology and services. AVITA acts as a network, information provider and industry developer – including organising Audiovisual Expo, the largest audiovisual event in Finland.

Lobbying the sector

AVITA makes the audiovisual sector visible in decision-making, projects and debate. We highlight the sector’s needs in opinions, working groups and networks, and promote fair, high-quality audiovisual procurement.

Knowledge and networks

We bring together all the latest information, guidance and recommendations for the AV industry in one place. We organise events where members, subscribers and experts can share experiences, learn new things and find partners for projects.

Events and fairs

AVITA organises training, seminars and networking events for different target groups. The biennial Audiovisual Expo brings together AV operators, new solutions and customers.

Developing the sector

We are developing the audiovisual sector in the long term, through quality guidelines, publications and projects. We support training, skills development and the building of a sustainable, reliable audiovisual ecosystem in Finland.

AVITA has a membership of over 100 operators representing the whole spectrum of the audiovisual sector. They include large and small companies, public organisations and independent experts. Together, they form a network with expertise in almost all aspects of audiovisual projects, from design to implementation and maintenance.

What is AVITA and what does it do?

AVITA ry is the network and trade association for the audiovisual industry in Finland. It brings together companies, communities, experts and subscribers involved in AV technology and services. AVITA organises events and training, produces guidelines and publications, influences developments in the sector and provides a platform for cooperation and networking.

Who is AVITA for?

AVITA is for anyone for whom AV solutions are part of their work or activities: AV companies and integrators, equipment suppliers, designers and consultants, event producers, educational institutions, public and private clients, individual AV professionals and students.

How does membership benefit your company or organisation?

A member company or organisation:

What are the benefits of AVITA for the individual professional or student?

Individual professionals or students can develop their skills through training and events, network with industry players and keep up to date with new technologies and practices. AVITA provides a good channel for both career development and participation in the industry debate.

Is AVITA a trade union or a labour organisation?

No, it is not. AVITA is neither a trade union nor a party to collective agreements. The association’s mission is to develop the AV industry, support skills, share information and provide networks – not to give employment or pay advice.

How can a company or organisation become a member of AVITA?

To apply for membership, fill in the application form on the AVITA website. The application will be reviewed by the Association’s Board of Directors, after which a decision will be sent to the applicant, together with information on the membership fee and available services. If necessary, the AVITA office will assist in selecting the appropriate membership category.

Can an individual expert or student become a member?

Yes. AVITA also has separate membership categories for individual professionals and students. As a member, you get access to events and networks, up-to-date information and the opportunity to showcase your expertise through the AVITA network.
